This is truly a piece of baseball history (which is in pristine condition)
This piece is truly near and dear to me as I got the photo 8x10 ( representing the 1937 American League All Stars) signed as a child while attending the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies in Cooperstown New York . I loved collecting signatures and was fortunate enough to have grandparents who facilitated my passion.
I knew that it was necessary to get the Hall of Famers (of the past generally around 50 former HOFERS would attend we would need to go to the hotel where they stayed annually for HALL OF FAME WEEKEND.
I got Mr Dickey , and Mr. Gehringer at the Hotel Otesaga, Cooperstown New York,
Believe it or not Mr. Greensburg lived in Beverly Hills Ca. and I sent him the photo in the mail and I got it back in a week signed.
I went to the Cracker Jack Oldtimers game in Washington DC and got Mr. Dimaggio at the Hyatt Regency Hotel where the Old timers were staying while in DC for the game.
Mr. Foxx signed a Fenway Park season ticket pass for a family friend who had Red Sox season tickets back in 37" our friend William Donaldson appreciated my passion for collecting and gave me his pass signed by DOUBLE X
Finally but of course not least I got this newspaper photo from the 1937 All-Star Game, Washington DC Griffith Park in a trade with legendary collector Barry Halper at the Hotel Otesaga during Hof induction ceremonies. Obviously this was 50 years ago and in those days Barry would buy signatures from other collectors and also bring pieces to trade. He inspired me to one day have a collection like his. Although that never happened pieces such as the one here have brought me tremendous pleasure over the years and I am hopeful now it may bring the same joy to another passionate collector.

As a kid My First Love was getting baseball cards signed going to spring training in Palm Springs Arizona Florida going to old timer's baseball game such as the Cracker Jack Old-Timers Game in Washington DC Cooperstown New York for the induction ceremonies we would have to stay in Albany in New York several hours outside of Cooperstown because there was no rooms available and I was lucky enough to have grandparents that would wake up at 5 in the morning and drive me to and from Cooperstown daily to get signature.
As I got older this passion never subsided and throughout my life, I continued to make annual trips to Spring Training, MLB All Star Games, and visit the Hotels where MLB teams stayed as well as go to many ball games and get signatures at the stadium.
