This is an incredible piece of Wizard of Oz memorabilia measures 27x18 has a double suede matt uv plexiglass. It is signed on this original lobby car (a lobby card was essentially the same thing as a movie poster in the 50 and 60's which were placed at the theatres) the lobby card is signed by both Judy Garland (Dorothy) and Ray Bolger (Scarecrow) the piece also included the cut signatures of Margaret Hamilton (The Wicked Witch) and Billy Burke (Glinda The Good Witch) Billy passed away in !970 in Los Angeles and she is certainly one of the more difficult Wizard of Oz signatures to obtain. Growing up in the greater Los Angeles area and spending many nights in Hollywood at movie premiers and at movie sets and at restaurants such as Spagos and Chasens getting signatures I was fortunate enough to meet collectors as myself but who had been at this for many years more than myself one of these individuals was William Beck and after many years of getting signatures together I was able to trade some signatures with him in order to get both Billy and Margaret cut signatures.
He obtained these signatures he got Margaret Hamilton August 11, 1975, in Kansas City Mo. outside of the Starlight Theatre she was performing in The Wizard of Oz.
And He obtained Billy Burkes signature at Musso and Fanks restaurant in Hollywood Ca.
Judy Garland signed this original Lobby Card at Chasens restaurant in Beverly Hills Ca.
Ray Bolger signed the Lobby Card April 9th, 1979, outside of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion where he was attending the 51st annual Academy Awards.
I have been collecting now for nearly 50 years I am only parting with this piece because I have downsized and have all my things in storage and I am truly tired of paying these monthly storage fees.
