Roy Orbison signed the electric guitar pickguard first outside of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles California in 1987 where he was recording a concert at the Coconut Grove nightclub in conjunction with a maid for TV show titled Roy Orbison and Friends a Black and White night.
