I went to the original Hard Rock restaurant in London as a child and thought the idea of guitars framed was so cool. I have been collecting signatures for my whole life and was always coming across musicians, so I always made it a point to keep guitar pickguards on hand to get the signatures. Later I would either frame the autographed pickguard with a picture of the band or get a guitar and put the autographed pickguard on the guitar.
This was the beauty of living in Los Angeles where bands were constantly performing and recording not to mention doing videos. I can't tell you how many bands I came across such as you to The Rolling Stones, Creed, Dave Matthews Band, etcetera making a music video in downtown Los Angeles or the surrounding areas and I was always prepared to get their signature with these pickguards.

There are two very simple answers. #1 I rarely paid for my signatures as my hobby over the period of 40 years was to track down celebrities and have the marvelous feeling of the interaction and the accomplishment of having a unique experience compared to my friends and family, #2 My collection has become overwhelming; I don't have the space to display and I would rather not waste my money on storage fees as my priorities have changed and I am certain other collectors will find much enjoyment from my Awesome collectibles.
